ENVIRONMENT

Aero-Lac, Inc has been an industry leader in its approach to reducing harmful pollutants into the environment.  As a Title V permit holder, Aero-Lac is regulated and monitored by several agencies, including PSAPCA (Puget Sound Air Pollution Control Agency), the Washington State Department of Ecology and the EPA (Environmental Pollution Agency).  As a company goal, Aero-Lac strives to reduce all harmful emissions into the environment wherever possible.  Several processes are in place to achieve these goals.  (See Below)

  • Use of a 7 gallon still to reclaim all
thinners.  All solid wastes are disposed of through the services of Emerald Services, Inc.

  • All chemicals are stored in enclosed fire safety cabinets which reduces the risk of spills and harmful VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions into the environment.

  • All stains are stored and/or mixed  in an isolated room to protect from accidental spills.

  • All spray products are low VOC  wherever possible.

  • All stains and lacquers are applied with air-assist airless spray guns to reduce over spray and excess. emissions into the environment.

  • All equipment is checked daily to verify proper working condition.

  • Two automated track lines are used to increase productivity and reduce the duration of emissions into the environment.

  • All materials are sprayed in booths which utilize filters to reduce the emission of solid particulates into the environment.

Aero-Lac, Inc will continue to strive for responsible environmental policies and practices to ensure the safety of the environment.
